Practice notes
A few notes from today's practice, which was held outside on the upper field behind Gillette Stadium:
* Every player but OLB Tully Banta-Cain was present for the media-access portion of the workout.
* That meant OL Russ Hochstein (left knee), who has missed the team's last two games, was present for the first time.
* OLB Mike Vrabel and practice squad WR Kelvin Kight wore black jerseys, meaning they were co-practice players of the week.
* Players wore shorts/sweatpants, shoulder pads and helmets.
* New practice squad player James Patrick will wear No. 29, last worn by Chidi Iwuoma.
