Green day

Scott Green is scheduled to referee Sunday's game between the Patriots and Texans at Gillette Stadium.

Green's crew has called an average of 11.8 assessed penalties per game, which is just less than the league average of 12. His crew has also had 17 calls challenged, with six reversals. That 35 percent rate is slightly higher than the league average of 31 percent. Only two crews have had a higher number of calls challenged.

Green's crew also refereed the Patriots' 24-17 win over the Jets on Sept. 17. The Patriots were called for six assessed penalties in that game, while the Jets had four.
