Pats chatter

A few notes from today's media access to the locker room:

  • DE Ty Warren was named AFC Defensive Player of the Month (for December) and answered questions from the media about the honor.

  • S Artrell Hawkins, LB Larry Izzo, CB Ellis Hobbs, OLB Tully Banta-Cain and QB Vinny Testaverde were a few of the players drawing larger media crowds.

  • Hobbs on the Jets' offense: "They're efficient. The key to those guys is third-down efficiency [4th in NFL; 43.8 percent], how they're able to stay in manageable down and distances and are able to convert those and keep those plays alive. I know the last time we played them, they had a 17-[play] drive. Even on a regular day, that's pretty much unheard of. For them to do that, and just drive it down the field, and to drive it consistently and then put it in, that speaks a lot for how well they move the ball."

We'll have more after practice, which is being held inside Gillette Stadium.
