Ginn in focus

Ohio State receiver Ted Ginn Jr., answered questions from the media today and he sounded a lot like the type of player the Patriots would target.

Ginn, who arrived at Ohio State as a top cornerback recruit, said he wouldn't mind playing cornerback in addition to his receiver duties. He's also a returner on special teams.

Asked his thoughts on possibly going to the Patriots, Ginn said: "I hope I don't stay around that long [to the 24th pick], but they have an excellent team."

Ginn said he has a "big brother up there in Pierre Woods", noting that both went to Glenville (Ohio) High School. While the two went to rival colleges -- Ginn to Ohio State, Woods to Michigan -- they have remained close.

Ginn, who is represented by agent Neil Cornrich, will not run at the Combine. Ohio State's Pro Day is scheduled for March 10, and he could run at that time.
