Deadline day

A few deadlines have arrived on the NFL calendar:

  • April 20 is the final day for restricted free agents to sign offer sheets with other clubs. The only player this affects on the Patriots is cornerback Randall Gay, who has yet to sign his one-year, $1.3 million tender offer with New England.

  • The end of the week also marks the cutoff period for teams to host out-of-town prospects on pre-draft visits at Gillette Stadium. Teams are allowed up to 30 out-of-town visits.
