Fun fact
With the Patriots selecting Miami players back-to-back in the 2007 draft -- with safety Brandon Meriweather in the first round and defensive lineman Kareem Brown in the fourth -- this marks the first time in team history that the Patriots have selected players from the same school consecutively with their top two picks.
Brown just held a conference call with the media. He said he believes he could be a fit at end or nose tackle in the team's 3-4 defense and spoke of his friendship with fellow Hurricanes/Patriots Vince Wilfork, Santonio Thomas, Quadtrine Hill and Meriweather.
