Welcome to Gillette
FOXBOROUGH -- Welcome to Gillette Stadium, where we're preparing for the start of the second day of the NFL draft.
In today's editions of the Boston Globe, we put together a list of possible second-day targets for the Patriots.
A few more to keep on the radar:
Brian Robison, DE/OLB, Texas -- Strong special teams player who could be groomed in a Tully Banta-Cain type of way.
Chris Denman, OL, Fresno State -- Played under Pat Hill, a former assistant under Bill Belichick in Cleveland.
John Wendling, S, Wyoming -- Has protoype size and intelligence, and could contibute immediately on special teams.
Chris Davis, WR, Florida State -- Didn't play in a great passing offense, which kept his stats down, but projects to be a good fit in the Patriots' offense.
Daniel Coats, TE, Brigham Young -- His speciality is blocking and the Patriots could groom him behind Kyle Brady.
Matt Toeiana, DL, Oregon -- Known as a strong effort player, he could be a long-term prospect to develop on the line.
