IAN SCOTT VISIT: The Patriots hosted free-agent defensive lineman Ian Scott on Wednesday at Gillette Stadium. Here is a bit more on Scott from today's Boston Globe. Scott continued on to Philadelphia today to visit with the Eagles. (4:15 p.m. update -- Scott signed a one-year contract with the Eagles today)

NFL EUROPA UPDATE: Through three games in NFL Europa, the Patriots' two young punters -- Danny Baugher and Tom Malone -- are neck and neck from a statistical standpoint. Baugher has 15 punts for a 40.2 avg. and 34.5 net, while Malone has 11 punts for a 38.8 avg. and 34.6 net. Meanwhile, Brian Barthelmes has started all three games at center for the Amsterdam Admirals.

JARVIS GREEN WINE TASTING: Here is a football-based charity event you won't hear about too often: Patriots defensive lineman Jarvis Green is hosting a Wine Tasting Gala on June 1. Proceeds from the event, which will be held at the Johnson & Wales Inn in Seekonk, Mass., will benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina. Green, who has his own website which is touting the event, is from Donaldsonville, La.

HOW WILL MOSS BE USED?: ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli examines how the Patriots might use receiver Randy Moss. Coach Bill Belichick has told Moss to be prepared to play more than one position.

PATRIOTS ALL-ACCESS: Patriots All Access will air its draft show Saturday, May 5, at 7 p.m. on WCVB (Channel 5 in Boston). Patriots chairman and CEO Robert Kraft and coach Bill Belichick will detail how the Randy Moss trade was completed; there will be an inside look inside the team's draft room; and quarterback Tom Brady will go one on one to talk about his recent visit to Africa.
