WATSON IN JAMAICA: Last month, Patriots tight end Benjamin Watson traveled to Jamaica with his father Ken as part of a mission that Ken, a pastor, was leading. Watson spoke with a group of Little League baseball players who had just started up a team and played in the World Series. “The talk was about character, and how a lot of younger kids are now looking up to them,” said Watson, noting it was one of the highlights of his trip.

COLVIN TO BE HONORED: Patriots linebacker Rosevelt Colvin will be honored with the Mental Toughness Award by the National Football Foundation, Northwest Indiana Chapter, next month. “It’s definitely an honor, and not just a reflection on me, but my family as well,” Colvin said, noting that Drew Brees was an award winner last year. “I’m looking forward to going back.”

ROAD TRIP FOR BRUSCHI: Linebacker Tedy Bruschi is scheduled to be a guest speaker in Western New York on Saturday night, continuing to work on behalf of stroke awareness. The Rochester Democrat & Chronicle reports on Bruschi’s scheduled appearance.
