ROOKIE SYMPOSIUM: The NFL is currently holding its annual rookie symposium in West Palm Beach, Fla. Draft picks from all 32 teams attend (rookie free agents do not) and they hear speakers talk about life in the NFL. Commissioner Roger Goodell also addresses the rookies. Patriots first-round draft choice Brandon Meriweather shared his thoughts on Goodell's speech with Yahoo! Sports. "The man means business," he said. "If you get in trouble now it's because you don't care."

HART LEE DYKES & DISABILITY: The management of the NFL's pension and disability plans comes into focus today with a congressional hearing, and the Washington Post takes a closer look at the hot-button issue while speaking with former Patriots receiver Hart Lee Dykes. The 40-year-old Dykes has been fighting for disability pay for almost 10 years.
