Seymour cashes in

USA Today publishes its annual NFL survey of player compensation, and Patriots defensive lineman Richard Seymour tops the charts for 2006.

Seymour totaled $24.69 million in 2006, the highest figure of any player in the league, according to the USA Today survey. The high figure was a result of a contract extension signed last April.

Quarterback Tom Brady, at $16 million, ranked sixth in compensation for 2006.
