Brady on WEEI
Quarterback Tom Brady was a guest of sports radio WEEI this morning as part of "Patriots Monday" programming. Greg Dickerson and Butch Stearns hosted the program and Brady touched on a variety of topics.
Brady said he hopes to take a few days off once he becomes a father.
"I'm certainly going to get there, and try to be there for the birth; it will be a great experience," he said.
Brady talked about the excitement of becoming a father.
"I'm an uncle and I know what it's like to be an uncle. My niece has been up here the last few weeks. My family is extremely close to me, with three older sisters and loving parents and supportive parents, I think everybody is anxious."
From a pure football perspective, Brady repeated that he's been limiting his throws this summer. He said he spoke with Colts quarterback Peyton Manning the last two years about the approach, which Manning has also adopted. Brady said he thinks the approach is paying off.
Brady is also expected to address the media at Gillette Stadium today.
We'll have more throughout the day, starting with a quick peek at practice this morning.
