Contract follow-up

A few contract follow-ups:

  • Quarterback Vinny Testaverde's contract is a one-year, $820,000 package. There is no signing bonus as part of the deal. The contract qualifies for the veteran minimum benefit, meaning Testaverde's salary cap hit is $435,000.

  • In claiming offensive lineman Chris Patrick on waivers from the Giants on Saturday, the Patriots inherited the contract he signed with New York. It's a two-year deal with base salaries of $285,000 in 2007 and $370,000 in 2008.

TUESDAY LOOK-AHEAD: Patriots coach Bill Belichick will hold a press conference at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday. The media will have access to the locker room after that, followed by access to practice.
