Practice attendance

FOXBOROUGH -- The Patriots have taken the field for their first of two practices today. This is the seventh day of training camp and the team's 10th practice since camp officially opened Friday. The team is in full pads.

Here are the players we have not spotted this morning:

  • CB Asante Samuel

  • S Rashad Baker

  • TE Garrett Mills

  • WR Randy Moss

  • TE Kyle Brady

None of the six players on the physically unable to perform list are present. Running back Laurence Maroney and linebackers Junior Seau and Eric Alexander remain in red, non-contact jerseys.

Referee Larry Nemmers and members of his crew are present for the third straight day.

We'll plan on checking in after practice, following Bill Belichick's press conference (11:15 a.m.) and player interviews (10:45 a.m.). We'll also have our five observations from this morning's practice.

FRIDAY SCHEDULE CHANGE: The Patriots have altered their training camp schedule for Friday. The team will now hold just one training camp practice -- at 10:30 a.m. There is no afternoon practice on Friday.
