Thomas time
The Patriots and defensive lineman Santonio Thomas have reached an agreement for Thomas to return to the team's practice squad. Thomas has been a member of the practice squad in each of the past two seasons, but still has eligibility.
The Patriots are carrying just six linemen on the active roster, so having at least one defensive lineman on the practice squad adds some protection.
Thomas joins Vince Wilfork, Brandon Meriweather and Kareem Brown as former University of Miami players in the locker room.
