Wednesday plan

The following is today's media schedule at Gillette Stadium:

10:50-11:10 a.m. -- Bill Belichick press conference
11:10-11:55 a.m. -- Media access to locker room
12:55 p.m. -- Media access to practice

There are also yet-to-be-finalized plans for conference calls with Jets coach Eric Mangini and a Jets player.

On a related note, the Jets have signed Patriots seventh-round draft choice Mike Elgin to their practice squad. Elgin was waived by the Patriots on Saturday.

Another former Patriot, defensive back Dante Wesley, signed with Carolina earlier in the week.

BRADY RANKS FOURTH: ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli recapped the number of snaps taken by NFL quarterbacks in preseason action. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady ranked fourth on the list, with 101 snaps. He was one of only four quarterbacks to take more than 100 snaps in the preseason.
