Practice report

By Mike Reiss, Globe Staff October 4, 07 01:22 PM

FOXBOROUGH -- The Patriots are holding their afternoon practice today on the lower field behind Gillette Stadium. The players are not in full pads for the second day in a row.

Center Dan Koppen, who was held out of practice Wednesday with an ankle injury, was back on the field. Every other player was present for the media-access portion of the practice, which included stretching and a few warmup drills.

Tight end Marcellus Rivers, who signed with the team Wednesday, is wearing No. 82.

  1. I think its great the way the Pats have started the season. Everyone seems to think its a lock for the Patriots to win it all. I'm drinking the Patriot Punch but.... Indy still scares the heck out of me. Do you think were that much better than Indy that nobody seems to talk about them repeating?

  1. Glad to see Danimal back. That could be a huge blow to the O-line if he can't go seeing as he makes all the line calls for them.

  1. Some people ARE talking about Indy repeating. But for anyone whom is paying attention and not biased against New England teams (this immediate eliminates many sports writers), the Patriots are the team to beat. If the Superbowl were to be played today, Dallas and New England would be a good matchup, but the PATS would win.
