Offensive approach

By Mike Reiss, Globe Staff November 25, 07 08:57 PM

From a tactical perspective, the Patriots came out in a controlled no-huddle offense, with four receivers and one running back.

After the Eagles had the ball for much of the first part of the first quarter -- partly due to a long drive, partly due to Asante Samuel's early interception return -- the controlled no-huddle helped the Patriots re-establish control.

The team stayed with the same positional grouping for the first nine plays before pounding it in with a 3 TE/1 FB/1 RB package.

WILFORK BACK ON D: Vince Wilfork has returned to his nose tackle spot for the Eagles' third drive. Wilfork had been on the sideline for the Eagles' second drive along with Richard Seymour.

  1. Thanks so much. I am long time season ticket holder - in Kuala Lumpur today following Pats on your blog and ESPN. Can't pick up Gil and Gino though.
