Offensive participation
A look at the snaps played by skill position players on offense in the Patriots' 56-10 win over the Bills:
QB Tom Brady -- 60 of 70 snaps
WR Randy Moss -- 59 of 70
WR Donte' Stallworth -- 50 of 70
WR Wes Welker -- 46 of 70
TE Kyle Brady -- 41 of 70
RB/FB Heath Evans -- 35 of 70 (26 as RB; 9 as FB)

WR Kelley Washington -- 1 of 70
QUICK HITS: WR Randy Moss played in the first 59 snaps of the game before coming off for the first time, which came on Kyle Eckel's 1-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. ... The 35 snaps for RB/FB Heath Evans were a season high, as Evans took the majority of the work with RBs Kevin Faulk (head) and Laurence Maroney (foot) out with injuries after the fourth series of the game. ... All 19 snaps played by RB Kyle Eckel were in the second half. ... All 10 snaps played by WR Chad Jackson were on the last series.

The new format of this blog is awful...it takes you 30 minutes to read all the great blogs from the game and postgame. Anyways we can switch it back where we can just scroll?
I hate the new page setup. Looks like it is a step back to the 90's.
I agree with Andrew. Why is it when something works good, someone has to go and change it? This new format is not an improvment -- it's worse!!
AMEN. Go back to the old format please!
TERRIBLE--------WHO WANTS TO CLICK BACK AND FORTH 100 TIMES.-LIST THEM ALL ON ONE PAGE LIKE IT USED TO BE....
Um, if you click on Reiss' Pieces (the logo) you can see multiple entries on one page. Stop clicking on the title of the most recent post or you'll be stuck in post-by-post mode for all eternity.
Just click on the red lettering "Reiss's Pieces" at the top of the page - you'll be taken to the main blog page where you can just scroll down through all the listings.
GET OFF MY BACK-I AM NO GOOD WITH COMPUTERS BUT I LIKE TO COMPLAIN- A BAD COMBINATION
We appreciate the point, SC and Shawn, but we shouldn't have to do that. The main link from the boston.com/sports page now sends you to the most recent blog entry rather than the whole blog. That's the problem. At best, it requires an extra unintuitive click. But the broader point is that the new format is very difficult to read as well as annoying to click through, and I would like the old format back.
Go back to the old way
Bad, Bad, Bad. The overall redesign of Boston.com, including this, is terrible. You something that was well orgranized into a navigational nightmare with poor usability.
Your new format reminds me of the Dolphins--Bad, Bad, Bad.
Please return to the old ways.
format stinks....i agree
I like the old way much better. To hard to locate & follow now.
I really do not like the new format, its more difficult to scan the front page for news I'm looking for.
I liked the old format better as well - anyway it is being said that Maroney was benched rather than hurt - has anyone else heard this or just pure speculation?
I'm not happy with the whole Boston.com redesign. I spend more time on other sites because of it. I'm sure others feel the same way I do. I have been coming to Boston.com since its inception so i can't believe I'm satying away
Agree, new format is lousy - go back to the old format for the blog.
Um, it's easy to read all the blogs. Instead of clicking the title of the latest entry from the main page, you need to click on Reiss Peices and you get all of the entries on one page.
New format is GREAT.
Please ignore those who are saying otherwise.
I have to echo the thoughts of others. The new set up for the blog is not good.
I would love to see a comparison of offensive participation playing percentage comparing Tom Brady to all the other teams who's starting QBs have started every game. It was mentioned a little while ago on WEEI and I bet he's playing a lower percentage of snaps compared to the rest of them. I'd even go out on a limb and guess he's playing a lower percentage of snaps than Manning did in 04 when he broke the single season touchdown record.
All I can say to Belichick's comments on going for it on 4th down is ... AMEN!
It's their team's job to stop our offense and if we go for it, then that leaves them a statistically greater chance to do that than if we kicked a field goal. Both teams are paid to play football, and that means playing to win for a full 60 minutes. If their defense can't handle it, so be it.
The Pat's offensive motto should be, "If the clock's still ticking, we won't be kicking!"
