Pats chatter
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Some comments from the Patriots' locker room:
QB Tom Brady
(on hearing the chowd chant a profanity toward the Patriots when they went for it on fourth down late in the third quarter)
"Yeah, we heard it. Coach says he puts us out there to score every time we touch it. I think that's the job description of every offense in the NFL. He's not putting us out there to punt. We go out and run our best plays and try to execute. It's just the way it is on the road."
QB Tom Brady
(on Benjamin Watson's touchdown catch, a 3-yard grab in the third quarter)
"I think that was one of the best catches of his career."
S Rodney Harrison
(on the game)
"The coaches have been giving us grief, and riding us pretty hard. Guys came out, played hard, executed well and made some great plays. After coming off a bye week, you always want to come out and start fast. Coach made the analogy to come out and test the water, jump right in, and that's what we did. We came out and played an aggressive, very physical game."
FB Heath Evans
(On QB Tom Brady)
"Tom never surprises me. It's almost sad that we expect things like this out of him. The way he prepares and the way he drives us week in and week out. You're always expecting greatness from him. Most of the time he delivers."
CB Ellis Hobbs
(on his fumble return for a touchdown, which came in the second half after he was beaten for a long first-half touchdown)
"I figure if I'm going to make a mistake like that then you have to make up for it on a couple plays. A couple knockdowns and hustling to the ball. The ball pops out and you catch it and you keep running. We're a hustling team and we work hard on defense."
