Pats-Steelers: 4:15

By Mike Reiss, Globe Staff November 6, 2007 04:04 PM

The Patriots' home game against the Steelers on Dec. 9 has been moved to a 4:15 p.m. kickoff. It was originally scheduled for 1 p.m.

CBS, which is broadcasting the game, has protected the game from being moved to prime-time.

  1. I like 4:15 games. During the day I can rake leaves and pick up the house and then grab an ice cold beer and watch New England crush the Steelers.

  1. That means those of us not in New England (Minnesota here) will get to see the game, as opposed to "watching" the play by play on the internet.

  1. As an over-35-year season ticket holder, if it wasn't for the honor of it [attending in person], I think that I'd stay home and further help their tv ratings (while staying warm).

  1. It'll be perfect....cook up some Roethelsberger for dinner. Poor Steelers may actually think they have a chance after their romp of the Retirement Home Ravens.

  1. If its warm, and the suns shining at 1pm.. its a great change.
If the weather is cold and miserable... bad change.

  1. I'm on the West Coast so I couldn't be happier. I just hope that the Raiders doesn't try and take the air time.

  1. I'm happy anytime I get to see them on TV down here in VA. I wish NESN was broadcast nationally or at least on the East Coast. It would be nice to go undefeated during the regular season, but even better to go undefeated in January! And as for Don Shula's comment about the Pats having an asterisk if they go undefeated like his past-Dolphins, I have lost respect for someone who I thought had class. "Thanks Don for adding more fuel to the fire" Lets Go Patriots!!!!

  1. 4:15 games suck when you're in Europe. That means a 10:15pm start here.

  1. Guess the PatriCheats wanted an extra 3:15 of being undefeated...The Steeler Defense is going to eat Brady up.
