FOXBOROUGH -- The Patriots are holding their afternoon practice on the upper practice fields behind Gillette Stadium today. The team is in full pads, which is probably tied into the idea that with the linebacker corps shuffling following Rosevelt Colvin's season-ending injury, time will be spent on the front seven working on "fits" in the running game.
RB Kevin Faulk was the lone player not present for the media-access portion of the practice, which included stretching and two warmup drills. That left the Patriots with just three RBs at practice -- Laurence Maroney, Heath Evans and Kyle Eckel.
C/G Billy Yates and practice squad WR Bam Childress wore black jerseys as the practice players of the week, meaning they best helped prepare the team leading up to Sunday's win over the Eagles.
