Welker & Vrabel

By Mike Reiss, Globe Staff November 17, 07 09:51 PM

In addition to downgrading RG Stephen Neal, S Eugene Wilson and ILB Eric Alexander to out for Sunday's game against the Bills, the Patriots also announced that WR Wes Welker has been removed from the injury report.

Welker had been listed as questionable due to a "team decision".

Also, the Patriots announced that OLB Mike Vrabel remains questionable, with his designation switched from "team decision" to "shoulder".

  1. For the love of god why does NE torture me for my fantasy football.........I have Welker and have been going back and forth all night should I play him or should I not.

  1. Huh? Was this injury shenenigans, a mistake on their part, discipline, or what? This injury report thing is a joke. Just show up with the guys you are going to play Sunday. The injury report stuff is for Vegas, and the league shouldn't assist in that endeavor any more than necessary.

  1. Henry, are you serious? You're an awful fantasy manager if you have been going back and forth. That's like me saying I am not starting Brady tomorrow because he has a "shoulder problem." Don't you think if Welker was injured you would have heard something about it earlier, in addition to having some idea of where the injury was. Such as Sammy Morris's "chest injury."

I would love to be in your league so I could roll the competition.

  1. I'm sure Belichick is much more interested in pleasing guys who fantasize about professional athletes than in winning a football game.

  1. Fantasize? Ah fantasy football is not really about fantasizing about pro athletes. Don't know what kind of kinky stuff your into......fantasy football is just about stats, but keep trying son.

  1. Are you kidding me! The Pats are like the Broncos, the will KILL your team with lack of info on the injury report.
And NO you might not "hear" about an injury of any Pats player. It happened last year with Moroney.

  1. the injury report IS a joke. why does it exist? to aid fantasy owners, maybe help the gambling industry, or maybe to keep tv viewers up to date? no wonder BB treats it with disdain.

  1. Seriously dude, Fantasy football is just a game...but so is football in general. I feel that guy's pain because I also have Welker on my team. Billy B is a fantasy owners worst nightmare. Even now with Welker off the injury report, it wouldn't surprise anyone to see him in for one play and then stand on the sidelines all game. Thats just how the Pats roll, but at 9-0 I aint complaining.

  1. Hey "You", don't bring up the Donkees. We're talking NFL football here. Nobody cares about Rat-faced Shanahan's squad.

  1. It isn't just NE that treats the injury report as a joke!! Two weeks ago Indy had Harrison as questionable against us. Then a week later he doesn't even make the trip to San Diego. They knew he wasn't playing two weeks ago. He still isn't playing this week. Every team in the league treats the injury report as a joke!!

  1. I think what he is trying to say is that Fantasy Football is for Jets fans. Follow a team not stats. Have a good Sunday evening gang.
