3 straight at night

By Mike Reiss, Globe Staff December 3, 07 05:43 PM

Tonight marks the Patriots' third straight prime-time game, following wins over the Bills and Eagles, both of which were played on Sunday night.

Earlier today, we wondered if that was any type of record, only to discover that the 2006 Denver Broncos played three straight primetime games on two different occasions.

The Broncos were 3-0 in their first set of primetime games, with wins over New England, Baltimore and Oakland in weeks 3-5. But Denver went 0-3 in its second stretch of primetime games, losing to San Diego, Kansas City and Seattle in weeks 10-12.
