Izzo makes his pitch

By Mike Reiss, Globe Staff December 27, 2007 09:34 AM

Patriots linebacker and special teams captain Larry Izzo not only hopes to play in the Super Bowl, but also have his own commercial air during the game.

As part of the NFL's "Meet the Men under the Helmet" promotion, the league had players talk about defining moments of their NFL career on camera. Fans can vote which story deserves to be aired during the Super Bowl.

Izzo's story, which can be seen on NFL.com, reflects on when he first learned he had made the Miami Dolphins roster as a rookie free agent.

  1. If you click the link in the story, the NFL site will think you've already voted, and won't let you vote "again." Try going to http://superad.nfl.com instead.
