(snaps do not include kneel-down at the end of the first half, but do include two defensive pass interference penalties and one offensive holding penalty)
ANALYSIS: As Bill Belichick pointed out after the game, this was a contest in which the team played mostly four-receiver packages, due to the personnel shortage at tight end. The only time tight ends came on the field was in the three-TE power set, solely to run the ball as offensive linemen Ryan O'Callaghan and Wesley Britt came on as tight ends. ... For the third straight week, Jabar Gaffney continues to get more playing time than Donte' Stallworth. Gaffney plays in three-wide and four-wide packages, while Stallworth is only on for four-wide packages. ... This is the first time this season that a receiver has played more snaps than Randy Moss. ... At RB, Kevin Faulk played more than Laurence Maroney as the team was in its spread formation, and the team likes Faulk's pass protection and pass-catching skills out of that package. ... Heath Evans' 19 snaps tied for his second-highest total of the season (35, vs. Buffalo, Nov. 18).
