Slaughter works out

By Mike Reiss, Globe Staff December 23, 2007 01:19 PM

FOXBOROUGH -- Free agent linebacker T.J. Slaughter worked out for the Patriots on Friday.

The Patriots were likely keeping their emergency lists fresh with Slaughter's workout.

Slaughter, 30, has played for the Jaguars (2000-2003), Packers (2003), Ravens (2003-2004), Saints (2005) and 49ers (2006), and has some background in 3-4 defenses.
