Welcome to Gillette

By Mike Reiss, Globe Staff December 23, 2007 12:07 PM

FOXBOROUGH -- Welcome to Gillette Stadium, where the Patriots host the Dolphins today (4:15 p.m.).

It is unseasonably warm, with the current temperature at 42 degrees. It is cloudy and there is little wind. There is a chance of rain.

Ron Winter's crew has been assigned to referee today's game. This is the first time that Winter's crew has worked a Patriots game this season.

Members of the 2007 Boston Red Sox will be on hand as "pre-game guests" of the Patriots.

Ayla Brown is scheduled to sing today's national anthem.

We'll plan on passing along more updates throughout the day.

  1. Gomda,

Great question ... this could most likely be Troy Brown last regular season game at home ... If he is going to suit up ... this should be the game !

  1. Ayla Who????? Amazing how they can't get anyone of note to sing the National Anthem.

More importantly.....what is the weather situation projected to be come game time? How about at the half? I would expect the passing game to be used early on to get some points then mix in run and go more run second half.

  1. At the risk of sounding like a jerk 3rd string safety from Pittsburgh, I guarantee we see Troy Brown today. He WILL be the 22nd Patriot to score a TD as well
