Belichick: Coach of the Year
Patriots coach Bill Belichick has been named the Associated Press Coach of the Year, it was announced today.
The honor was initially scheduled to be released Jan. 12, but industrious reporter Karen Guregian, who works for the Boston Herald, polled enough voters to reveal today that Belichick was the winner.
With that, the AP moved up the announcement.

Congrats Bill!! Every Patriot's Fan full supports you! You are one of the greatest coaches of all time and appreciate everything you have done! Now go finish the deal!
Uh oh...BB won by nearly a 2:1 margin...I hope they don't accuse him of running up the score!!! Congrats HC of the NEP, most deserved!!! Next on the list, Mr. Brady, MVP!!! Go Pats!!!
Congrats to Coach Belichick, well deserved!
Congrats to Bill.
Kudos to the best coach in NFL history. Well deserved and it's a credit to Belichick, the players, coaching staff and entire organization. A toast will be made to him this evening.
Nice!
I guess we can put the myths connected to Spygate to rest.
Good! If anything puts can end to the ridiculous hype behind the whole 'spy-gate' hysteria, this just might be it.

It's great to see a Globe scribe be gracious to that "other paper". Too bad the reverse never happens....

You Pats fans are something else, you got a coach here that could care a less if you guys were in the stands or not. I have never seen him once in post interviews thank the crowd and tell of his appreciation for there support. With football its all one thing with the Bellicheck and thats winning no matter what the cost to the Pats name or least of all what the NFL or footblall fans in general think about him. If the excuse can be "Everybody does it" then he can live with it his, Pats fans can. As far as where hes taking this team this year the players have proved they never needed the edge to be one of the most elite teams in NFL history. Just Bellicheck did ,talent isnt enough when thats what all this game is to him Win. I lhave much respect for what Mr. Kraft and what the players have and will acomplish this year, but to say that Bellicheck should be recognized is laughable. Heres a coach that was handed down the biggest fine in NFL coaching history for what everybody else was doing, I myself think there are still MEN in the NFL who do follow the the line of the rule book and coach with integrity because thats what there fans expect from them. 16-0 and a propable Super Bowl ring should be rewarded, but if you think Bellicheck should be recognized by the NFL as Head Coach of the Year, then you fans are well suited to your coach. Because the Title, fans , players, and other coaches acknowledgement that come with Coach of the Year doesnt mean a BLEEP in the wind to Bill, all that matters to the Genius is the next game, the next Win, its all that drives this compulsive. No apologies no regrets thats for sure.
