Belichick & Rutgers lax
SCOTTSDALE -- Wearing blue jeans, sandals and a red Rutgers lacrosse jacket with the number 23 on his left sleeve, Patriots coach Bill Belichick kicked off today's media festivities by holding a press conference (10 a.m. EST).
What was up with the Rutgers jacket?
"It's my son's," he said, with a smile. "He used to wear my stuff. Now I'm getting into his closet."
WR Randy Moss is now holding a press conference.
"Go get 'em," Belichick said with a smile after passing Moss on his way down from the podium.

This is all so incredibly fun to be reading. BB is blowing me away as he seems to be emerging from the perceptual prison previously surrounding him. I am happy for all involved. I think it's great for us in New England, great for NY fans, great for football, ... I could go on...
BTW, I've read several articles in the NY Times sports section that have contributed to my overall 'good' feelings. Class-acts on all fronts. What a treat! This is going to be a great SB and a sad season to see come to an end.
Thanks for your written words (I prefer the written words).
WISH I WERE THERE!!!
Well, let's see a photo of the coach in his son's jacket already. JPF
Mike, I watch all of Belichick's news conferences---when they're on TV---and he's constantly clearing mucus from the back of his throat. It's bugged the hell out of me and my family. Is he a smoker?
And I've read about Bahj, his assistant, in only a few places. I can't believe that Belichick has an Entourage. I'm not Joe Sullivan, but man, it would be a great Sunday feature to spend a day with BB's personal assistant. I loved the story on Brianna Wilfork---those are the stories that dailies need to be doing now in the Internet age, not the conventional notes columns and game stories.
