Jaguars on Moss

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff January 12, 2008 09:53 PM

One in-game strategy item to point out is how the Jaguars have decided to defend Randy Moss. CB Brian Williams is following Moss wherever he lines up, as the Jaguars are flip-flopping their corners.

That is a bit of a surprise. The Jaguars other CB, Rashean Mathis, was a 2006 Pro Bowler.

  1. Is Stallworth okay? Haven't seen or heard his name tonight?

  1. Stallworth had been non - existent and so has Moss

Although Moss has made some key blocks on running plays

lets go now and finish this up

  1. nice adjustment by Stallworth on the aborted screen
As Phil Simms says "this play could be the difference in the game"
too bad he looked at the Jumbotron instead of running flat out. Belichik is not going to let him forget it.

  1. I thought that Stallworth waited a second too long to make the inside cut while in full stride. I think that if he had made the inside move a little sooner, he would have opened up enough space to go all the way. It was a great catch, though, by Stallworth. I certainly hope that they keep him next season, and Gaffney too, along with Moss, Welker and, hopefully, a strong Chad Jackson, this offense can even be better, if that is possible.
