A few topics of discussion that stood out from Patriots player interviews today:
1) Rodney Harrison promises a better performance. Harrison was not happy with the way the Patriots played against the Giants in the season finale. "That's all we've watched and I've watched the game four or five times," Harrison said. "The good thing is that I don't think that we could play any worse than that, so that's the good thing. We have a lot of room for improvement. I can probably guarantee that we won't play that bad."
2) Tom Brady is back at practice. Count receiver Wes Welker among those pleased to see Brady in the huddle. "Any time you have the MVP of the NFL back out there it's a good thing, so we were glad to see him," he said. Left tackle Matt Light was asked if he's worried that Brady will be limited. "If he's out there he's going to get after it. I'm sure of that one," he said.
3) Matt Light touches on Osi Umenyiora. The starting left tackle was asked about comments made by Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora that he is a dirty player. "I don't think it's what everybody wants to make it out to be. I don't think that anybody that's watched film of me would say that and I sure don't talk out there. I try not to play in any other fashion than what everybody else is doing out there and I'm sure that most people would say that. ... It was a physical game and they're a physical defense. That's the way they play. Upfront we try to match that style of play. We're pretty physical upfront and when you have two teams that are duking it out like that and playing in such a big game then what it turned out to be was a slugfest. There was a lot of hitting. That's the game we play."
Rodney is right ... the pass defence was nothing to write home about that night and either was the run defence for that matter. That will not happen again with Belichick game-planning a second-time around.
It was a good thing that Brady threw for 356 yards that night. Randy Moss comes back to life with a huge game under ideal conditions.

Over / Under on Tom Brady being questioned about his ankle tomorrow during Media Day Press Conference: 10
I'm so taking the 'over' on that ankle question thing...
What's Boston going to be like when Brady takes a digga in the Giants endzone? Will he have to bang a Uey and crawl to the hoppa? He can't play now he's onna hoppa. It'll be a wicked pissah. ROLL ON GIANTS!!!
