Players familiarize with Jags
FOXBOROUGH -- Patriots players arrived at Gillette Stadium this morning for work, and many were leaving the facility after media access in the locker room today (noon-12:45 p.m.).
The team is not practicing today. Players explained that the morning was utilized to get familiar with the Jaguars' personnel, which included film study.
Some of the film work included reviewing last year's Dec. 24 regular-season matchup against the Jaguars, a 24-21 Patriots win. One play stood out to safety Rodney Harrison -- a 74-yard touchdown run by Maurice Jones-Drew.
"He's probably one of the toughest guys, besides Barry Sanders, that I've had to tackle," Harrison said. "He's similar to him. Very fast. Very quick. Elusive. Strong. Just such powerful legs. He's so short but he carries the weight of a Brandon Jacobs, he's so powerful and so explosive."
Harrison was one of a handful of players who drew a large media crowd in the locker room, a group that included DL Richard Seymour, WR Jabar Gaffney, LB Adalius Thomas, CB Ellis Hobbs and RB/FB Heath Evans.
The team will move to its normal Wednesday-like schedule tomorrow.
