Plax late, still confident

Posted by Jim McCabe, Globe Staff January 30, 2008 01:46 PM

Plaxico Burress showed up 50 minutes late at interview session today and said it was because he was having breakast with his wife and kids.

However, the flamboyant wide receiver didn't back down on his prediction of a Giants victory when he did arrive to a table full of waiting media.

"I believe in my teammates just like they believe in me,'' he said.

Burress said he hadn't talked to Giants coach Tom Coughlin, but the coach said earlier "I will speak with Plax in a private way and that's where it will remain."

  1. I admire that took time to have breakfast wit his family, but does it really take 50 minutes for them to eat? I've never know my kids to dawdle for that long. I suspect he slept in.
