Practice report

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff January 16, 2008 01:16 PM

FOXBOROUGH -- The Patriots are holding their afternoon practice today inside Gillette Stadium. The team is in full pads.

Reserve OL Ryan O'Callaghan and S Mel Mitchell, a top special teams performer, were the lone players not spotted during the media-access portion of the workout. The media-access portion of the practice included stretching and one set of positional warmups.

Two new players were spotted on the field -- DB Gemara Williams and LB Kyle Bissinger -- as they have been signed to the practice squad. Both were with the team in training camp.

  1. Jeez, Williams is another 5'8" cornerback.

Do we have a special attraction for these far too undersized corners?

But, on a very positive note, his birthday is the same as mine, April 30th. So, there must be a lot of greatness in him.
