Rivers sighting

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff January 20, 2008 01:25 PM

Surrounded by cameras, Chargers QB Philip Rivers walked on to the field with a football, smiling.

Rivers was doubtful on the Chargers' injury report due to a right knee injury. The NFL Network is reporting that Rivers will start.

  1. Good, Rivers is competitive and deserves to start and see what happens. He's not going to be very mobile and that may be a plus for the Pats.
Their backup impressed me last week on the winning score drive; however I'm not sure he could sustain his composure and or not make mistakes for a full game.

The key is to take away the run and put all the pressure on the QB's.
