Ticket sale
The Patriots just sent out the following information:
On Wednesday, a limited number of tickets to the AFC Championship game will be available to be purchased beginning at 9 a.m. through Ticketmaster.
All ticket orders will be processed through Ticketmaster. Tickets will not be sold at the Gillette Stadium Ticket Office. Ticket orders can be processed online at www.ticketmaster.com or by phone. Ticketmaster phone numbers vary by area code, please check your local listings. In the greater Boston area, please call 617-931-2222 or 508-931-2222.
Patriots season ticket holders were allowed to purchase their playoff tickets well in advance of the playoffs. On Tuesday, Jan. 15, over 55,000 fans on the Patriots season ticket wait list will have an opportunity to purchase those tickets through an advanced private sale. Any remaining tickets, plus a limited number of pre-held individual ones, will be made available to the public through Ticketmaster beginning at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 16.
Visa will be the only form of payment accepted.

This is off topic but I wonder if there's an answer out there. We all know that the undefeated Dolphins are referred to as the '72 Dolphins. If the Pats go 19-0 will the NFL's best-ever team be known as the '07 or '08 Patriots, having posted a perfect regular season in '07 and won the super bowl in '08?
Be serious, when they did this a couple of weeks ago, I was on ticketmaster at 9:55, and when 10:00 came, there wasn't a ticket to be found.
For those who care to go to the stadium right when the lots open (if not earlier) you can probably get tickets at the box office. We did this in 2004 before the AFC Championship Game and were able to get tickets. If I had to guess I'd say they probably had a few hundred available there and probably the first 100 or so in line got tickets.
It's the '07 Patriots
ticket agents pick up all the tickets with some special program that gets them to the front of the line! What a waste of time and wishful thinking! EBAY here I come :(
They would be the 07 Patriots... since its the 07 season.
It really just sounds like a sweetheart deal between VISA and the Pats/NFL to get people to sign up for their credit cards.
If they make one ticket available, and 500 people get VISA cards bc they think they have a shot, then there'll be high-fives all around the board room.
to all you pats fans, don't bother wasting your money on tickets and freezing in the cold. the SAN DIEGO CHARGERS are here to take it all the way. GO CHARGERS!
I got tickets with the presale code. Without a problem.
GO PATRIOTS!!! YOU ARE THE BEST IN THE LEAGUE!! GO PATS!!
Who doesn't have a VISA?
what's the presale code? is that just for those on the season ticket wait list?
details.....
djs ... it says right in the announcement that tickets will NOT be sold at the Gillette Stadium ticket window.
Hey Steve, move back to the left coast loser. Pats 41 broken bolts 7. Stooge.
Any way to get a presale code?
Anybody have info on theat. . .thanks
I can't wait to see LT with the same dissappointment he showed when we beat them in the playoffs last year. That is worth the wait! Tom Terrific will continue his pursuit of the greatest QB we will ever see. GO PATS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey FAN, Cmon cough up the presale code, do use other fans a favor
55,000 people will get the chance to purchase tickets on Tuesday, January 15. Gillette stadium only holds about that many people. That means no tickets will be left on Wednesday.
Tickets will be left on Wednesday because the article says there are some pre-held tickets.....probably not a lot but some.
Are the Patriiots blocking all states except New England from purchasing tickets just like the Chargers did last year.
the code is WLSALE but there are no more spots available on the Waiting List
didn't realize new england was a state Bob
is they tickets posed to be fo ebbyone....me's motha be sayin we kids frum da hood be gettin nuttin....why
Pats are going down 42-45 on Sunday........ 8->}
Johnny keep dreaming. The Pats are NOT going down....
Johnny left coast, the whole chargers offense will have their hands down their pants the entire game in an attempt to keep them warm. . the only thing they will come up with are 2 balls, no points though
Does anyone know what the logo on the Gillette field is? It was on either side of the field around the 40-60 yard line. It looks like an oil rig to me. Or a light house? Can't for the life of me figure out what it's supposed to be!
Thanks.
Hey Johhny Left Coast,
How many times this year have the Patriots giving up 40 or more points? None, How many times have they even given up 30 points in the 17 games played...once, would you care to recant your insane prediction, or should we do that for you
42-45? Really? Have you ever watched an American sporting event? We generally give the higher score first... but if you're sticking with 42-45, I guess we'll all have to accept it.
Be careful there in SoCal... there might be seismic activity as all the San Diegans jump off the bandwagon until next January.
GO PATS!
how bout them G-men
for mary O.
It's a very stylized bridge and lighthouse they use as the Gillette stadium logo. This is from the official website about the stadium: I think it's describing the logo:
"These features include the bridge and 12-story high lighthouse that will sit atop the Bank of America entrance and welcome visitors to the stadium."
I wish the Revolution were playing!
The Revolution? Come on, really? With the Pats, Sox and Celts you come out with the Revolution. Get out of the basement dude, you mom would like to use it to store your stuff from when you were a kid, 40 years ago. Revolution? Really?
anyone who really wants a ticket can buy mine....I paid $700 on stubhub for a corner endzone seat.
For all you HATERS out there. Don't hate the GREATEST TEAM EVER, HATE THE GAME - GO PATS on the way to 19-0 which will make all of us who are living now and watching, a part of history being made whether you like it or not. ROLL Them BumAss Chargers back to SD
Chargers please LEAVE UR HATE AT HOME!
Where do I put in this pre sale code? On the ticketmaster website?
I am sure there will be resale tickets available due to the cold weather.
Too cold for those San Diego fans. I was in SD last week and they were bundled up, it was 60.
Wow......I wouldn't go to the game if the tickets were free. I'll be sitting in a room at 72 degrees in a wonderful recliner watching in HD with plenty of ice cold beer within 15 feet.
Hey Tav, LOL baby!! Chargers are going to have a short circuit with their quarterback that has a short fuse !
9:00 and already sold out
Complete BS. Logged on right at 9 a.m. and not a single ticket was available (either a seat or standing room). I don't know why the Pats wouldn't just come out and say that.
Complete crap. Logged on right at 9 a.m. and not a single ticket was available (either a seat or standing room). I don't know why the Pats wouldn't just come out and say that.
I wish I had had the presale code. I was on the phone ten minutes early and got shafted. This happened to me two weeks ago too.
Wow, that was a waste of time. In at 9 am exactly with multiples windows and tabs, and nothing. I guess that's to be expected.
At 8:58 i saw the tickets come up for sale, all were sold.
So, of course I was on the phone and internet right at 9am... and of course, no tickets are available... Thank you, Ticketmaster!!
Can 'regular' fans go to Pats and Sox games anymore?
Hey Mike, how about regurgitating the Patriots/Ticketmaster press release on the ratio between tickets old and people signing up for Visa cards ? Couldn't find it ?
Oh.
Tickets for the general public? Riiiiight.
I was on the phone with Ticketmaster @ 9AM sharp and there was nothing.
On ticketmaster at 10am exactly, no surprises, none left! Couldnt they have had the grace to say they were all gone?
Lynda. They went on sale at 9, not 10. So no surprise there. But if it makes you feel any better, there weren't any at 9 either. So no real loss.
