Bill's take
Comments from Patriots coach Bill Belichick following Super Bowl XLII:
On the game
"Congratulations to the Giants. They made some plays there at the end and we didn't. It's disappointing."
On comments made by the Rams
"I haven't heard them."
On whether he thought about going for the field goal on fourth and long
"Yeah, but it was a 50-yard field goal."
On if this was the toughest loss of his career
"I don't rank them. It's disappointing."
On the Giants defense and their pass rush
"They are a very good defensive football team. They played well. They made some plays. We made some plays. In the end, they made a couple more than we did."

The Patriots became too smug and arrogant. They weren't winning with class anymore. That's why this happened. Humble pie. Live and learn.
Sorry Bill , but that was a bad call to go for on fourth in long in the third quarter. Your kicker was nailing 53yrd fiedl goals in practive with great rotation. It's in a dome, no wind or other weather related factors, plus it was 4th and 13. Tom Brady is good, but this was a bad call at this point in the game and it ended up in the same place case he choked anyway. You should have let your kicker do his job and get you 3. The game would have gone into OT, then who knows!!!!, But that bad decision was definately a game decider.
Tom Brady underpressure is an average quarterback at best....the guys on that team that deserve ALL the credit for the outcome up to the Superbowl is the Offensive line. Any quarterback on any team with as much time as Brady had prior to the Superbowl would look good. In my mind he's overrated and it showed in Superbowl 42. I LOVE THAT THE PATS CHOKED!!!!!! It made my weekend!
can u say 4th and thirteen ...cause thats what cost that idiot bellichek the game and im gonna laugh about forever
