Burress day-to-day
Michael Vega brings us the latest from Phoenix on Plaxico Burress:
After boldly predicting his team would defeat the Patriots, 23-17, in Super Bowl XLII, it seems Giants receiver Plaxico Burress might be a question mark for the game after Giants coach Tom Coughlin reported in his final press briefing today, ``it's a day-to-day thing with Plaxico, right now.''
Burress has not practiced at all this week and looked to be a game-time decision.
``He does have the ankle; he's had the ankle all year long,'' Coughlin said. ``The knee that he's had in the past has had some swelling, but it has been reduced somewhat.''
And if Burress is unable to go? ``What he's been able to do this year with regard to little practice, over the last month he's practiced pertty much every day with a select number of snaps. Prior to that there was a long window there when he was not able to practice hard, watched tape, and was able to perform in the games sometimes in a very remarkable fashion for a guy who didn't practice.
``It did help [quarterback] Eli [Manning] when he was able to practice because they were able to communicate on game plans and adjustments, etc. just in the communication between quarterback and receiver, and we'll see exactly where he is today.
Andy Rooney, of CBS's ``60 Minutes'' and a Giants season-ticket holder, rose up to ask Coughlin if there was anything that irritated him from the coverage he gets from the press. Replied Coughlin, ``That's a very good question. What I've tried to do is be a little bit more patient this year than I've been in the past. Redundancy does bother me, I'll admit that, and wasting time is a big problem for me.''

Total bull... This is the Giant response to das boot. It's the first 13 weeks all over again. He'll play and play well....
I think the Giants are playing the injury report game in response to the Brady ankle/shoulder thing. Godell's going to have to clamp down on injury reports at some point.
Hey Pats fans!
I found a video (Super Bowl Radio Row) on Boston.TV thought you'd like to see it:

enjoy!
"He does have the ankle; he's had the ankle all year long,'' Coughlin said. "The knee that he's had in the past has had some swelling, but it has been reduced somewhat.'' Interesting comment. I believe every single Patriot has at least 2 fully functioning ankles and knees. Makes one wonder how many body parts other Giants don't have.
i guess your knees take a lot of abuse when you keep putting your foot in your mouth
Even if he does play remember the first time he only caught 4 passes for 84 yards & 50 of that was on one play.
And the Patriots have the right side of their line healthy this time. Last time without the right side of the offensive line and in bad weather they put up 38 on NY. The Giants better hope to God they score more than 23 if they want to be in this one.
