Network cuts press conference
PHOENIX -- The NFL Network, which was broadcasting the press conference of Bill Belichick live this morning, cut away during the final question.
The final question was related to this New York Times piece. In the story, Senator Arlen Specter, Republican of Pennsylvania, said that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will eventually be called before Congress to explain the destruction of tapes taken from the Patriots earlier this season.
Belichick was asked about it and said it was a league matter and that he didn't know anything about it (watch Belichick's response to the question).

Doesn't Arlen Specter and Congress have more important things to do than get involved in the NFL business? Ridiculous. Its an NFL rule, and shy is it the government's business if private business tapes are destroyed. What idiots. The whole "spygate" thing is ridiculous, more of a media creation and Jet-whining than anything else. Specter's got to be a dope ...
Are you kidding me? Doesn't congress have anything better to do with their time? Like maybe trying to figure out how to avoid the recession? Hard to believe we are electing these clowns. Seems to me like they want to control everything...baseball, and now football too?
If congress want to investigate this, they should preclude any person, that has declared to be a fan of any team in the NFL (the Senator is a stated fan of the Eagles). This can't be about sour grapes for your team getting beat.
Maybe someone should ask the people running for President whether they think using congressional committe time is good use of tax payers dollars investigating video taping of a football game. They should probably expand that into the college ranks also.
First the lady in the wedding dress..now Arlen Spector everybody wants 15 minutes of fame from the Superbowl
What the (blank) does Congress have to do with the NFL?? Don't they already waste enough of our money on other foolish things? I would think there would be far more important things to be spending time on this and not worrying about the "integrity of the game". Let Rodger Goodell handle the NFL, he has been doing a great job thus far and that's more than I can say for Congress.

So glad there aren't any issues troubling our country more important than this. I mean, when the government is so concerned about the NFL destroying tapes, you just know that everything else is ok, right?
Way to waste tax payer money Specter!
Cutting away from that is an absolute disgrace and will come back to haunt the NFL when they go in front of Congress and are asked why they pulled a Soviet style media manipulation stunt.
I have the NFL Network and enjoy its programming. If this was a coincidence and someone pushed a button too soon,so be it.BUT,if there is censorship going on here that is very troubling.
Can't get over the fact that Specter compared this to the CIA tapes... unbelievable!
Arlen Specter regularly apprears on Sports Radio to talk about the Eagles according to Yahoo Sports.
Tell Arlen what you think....

hey senator - if you want to do something productive for Our Country, how about investigating Our LYING President - who's responsible for thousands of our children being killed in Iraq as we speak?
Let congress do what it wants. They will waste our money no matter what. But, now we can find out what other teams were doing this..
