Statements on Patriots
The NFL and Patriots released statements today regarding a report that the Patriots illegally videotaped the St. Louis Rams walkthrough in Super Bowl XXXVI.
The statements:
NFL
We were aware of the rumor months ago and looked into it. There was no evidence of it on the tapes or in the notes produced by the Patriots, and the Patriots told us it was not true.
Patriots
The suggestion that the New England Patriots recorded the St. Louis Rams’ walkthrough on the day before Super Bowl XXXVI in 2002 is absolutely false. Any suggestion to the contrary is untrue.
Hey Maybe they video taped the Rams' cheerleaders in their locker room! Uh Oh.
DONE. FINISHED. So glad we can put this crap to rest. Let the players play, let the coaches coach and - most certainly - the best team will win. I have never doubted the integrity of a coach's son nor the hard work of the New England organization.
It hurts that these stories are being circulated and their source is symptomatic of a much deeper wound in the American psyche. Tomorrow the New England Patriots will accomplish something great and I for one am looking forward to the smiles on all the faces, especially on our coach, the one, the only, Bill Belichick.

The Patriots hwve poved themselves to be the best football team over and over again, the 18-0 record can show that. hhey will be 19-0 tommorrow
There was an article in 2002 that the Patriots and league officials spotted someone spying on the Patriots practice with a telescope back during the Rams Superbowl. This doesn't get much press though, does it?
The Patriots are known cheaters and would have fought the fines imposed on them if they had not cheated. You New England fans are biased for your team and coach. The Patriots could never have won Super Bowl XXXVI without help of some kind. Watch the fricken tape. See how the refs make no calls on head shots to Warner, the constant mugging of the WRs. Face mask calls never made on Az Hakim who was the leading reciever with 90 yards. I HAVE NEVER SEEN!!! a more lopsided reffed game in any sport then I saw in that game. Just like watching WWF crapola. Enjoy your ill gotten gaines Pat fans, your team is over now back to 5-11 seasons. I don't hate you guys, I feel sorry for you now.
