wow right after they blew the big game and they want us to pay more ???!!!
damn thats a big jump on some prices. good to see standing room only remain the same since thats all I can get my hands on because of all the greedy ticket brokers around here
How can they justify raising ticket prices in some cases over 25%. Between parking and the tickets, the average person will never be able to afford to go to a game. They must not have heard we are close to a recession.
Slightly raising prices by a certain percentage (say 5 or 10 percent per year) is one thing, but $30 - $40 per ticket is crazy. I know they are a playoff team every year, but how can you justify a 30% price increase?
At a 30% rate, in 2 years last season's $89 seats would go for about $200.
Pretty incredible...the average Joe gets screwed again. I guess it must be a commodity to have a waiting list.
You can count me out.
Somebody has to pay for spygate!
thank god they didn't win the super bowl!!!!! these prices are ridiculous.
And with the way the economy is right now "Way To Go Bob"it is getting to be where your average fan can not afford ticket's.I guess the rich will just keep getting richer And the poor will keep getting poorer (Bob you should be ashamed of your self)we all know that the ticket waiting list is so huge, that the ticket's will sell out,but what about your "true fans who can not afford the ticket price increase??"I guess Bob Kraft is just becoming "Mr.Corporate",but he's states that he will never forget what it's like to be a season ticket holder....(oops....HE FORGOT!!!!!) (Way To Go Bob) We now have to be the most expensive ticket price stadium
With the way the Economy is right now,I guess it is true the Rich will keep getting Richer and the Poor will keep getting Poorer.Your average "True" fan will not be able to afford the ticket price increase, but with the waiting list so "huge" tickets will sell."Bob Kraft has become Mr,Corporate."(Way to go Bob) We should be the highest ticket price in the NFL.....Pre-Season starts in August tickets due in March....(Interest???)
PS....
Stated by Bob Kraft himself he will never forget what is is like to be a season ticket holder (oops.....HE FORGOT.... HE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF HIMSELF)
Wow. With all the sold-out games I haven't tried to get Pats tickets for years - the last time I went, somebody gave us 2 tickets (about 5 years ago) - so I really haven't paid much attention to the prices. These are NUTS!! To stand at the stadium costs $49 a pop?!? How many families can pay $200 (and that's just for tickets) to go see a game? Vrabel was right when he talked to the send-off crowd - the real fans (at least, those with a budget and not an expense account) can't afford it anymore. It affects crowd noise (the corporate crowd and guests certainly aren't cheering, face-painting, and otherwise creating a competitive home-field advantage for the team) - I've been at funerals that generate more noise than what you hear at the Razor. It's just disappointing, I guess.
Wow-- as a long time season ticket holder, this is the first time I have to really look and ask 'is it worth it?'
Ridiculous that a family of four can only stand in the stadium for around $200 - and that's if that family could even get any tickets! Vrabel was right on with his comments at the team send-off - the "real" fans, the ones with budgets and not expense accounts, can't afford to go to a game anymore. There's a reason the Razor is so quiet (some home field advantage, folks!). Corporate types aren't the ones cheering and face painting and otherwise creating the emotional support for the team that gives that home field advantage. All of us "real fans" are home in our living rooms yelling at the TV!! Too bad the players can't hear us from there.
Maybe this means I will receive an upgrade this year.
Are you kidding me. I guess they need more $ to pay for the shops they just built which I'll never shop in. Why do we have to pay??????????????
I paid 50.00 in Miami vs. the Pats this past Oct. for just about the same seat/view that I sit in at Foxboro, which is going from 75.00 to 89.00.
Utterly ridiculous, the rich just keep getting richer.

Gee thanks Bob, how much money do you really need.... I would have thought Patriots Place would be lining your pocket with enough money. Im sorry but this speaks of greed. you are pricing all the fans who really love the team out and replacing them with corporate suits who could care less. i guess the stadium will get alot quieter this season ...........
Having season tickets for over 30 years and lower level sideline a 35% increase is ridiculous. The highest priced ticket in the league already. I guess the ticket holders are building "Patriot Place". By the way the so called lottery for super bowl tickets is a joke they all go to club seats and luxury boxes and politicians. What a joke.
time to invest in a new kick-butt TV & plan on a living room tailgate party EVERY week...
Just imagine if they won the superbowl.... the price should be doubled
Enough with the, "Family of Four" stuff already.....Most people DON'T go with their "FAMILIES"....it's mostly guys who go with their "buddies" to drink beer and watch some football. Everybody pays for their own ticket so it's not a big deal. For those who do have to pay the way for a family of four?....give up your tickets or get a second job.
The highest ticket prices in the NFL...Now THERE's something to be proud of. THanks Mr. Kraft. You can have my seat since I can't afford to sit there anymore.
The highest ticket prices in the NFL...Now THERE's something to be proud of. THanks Mr. Kraft - you should be ashamed of yourself! This is so sad! You can have my seat since I can't afford to sit there anymore.
People please. Be thankful when they built the stadium that they didn't charge personal seat licenses. Be thankful that Bob didn't use the public's tax dollars to build his stadium. Be thankful that we've got a team that competes for championships every year. Be thankful that you don't have season tickets to the Red Sox who charge outrageous prices for 81 games. We only have to pay for 10. Suck it up. It is still the best ticket in town to the best sport in the world
Make a day out of it. Get there and tailgate early. Go into the game and then after the game instead of waiting in traffic…either tailgate again or head to the new shops, restaurants and bars.
Another sign that they thought the Super Bowl was in the bag. They had these ticket increases planned well in advance, but the GAG JOB has made this a PR disaster.
Milk $4 a gallon, home heating oil $3.50 a gallon, 30% increase in seaon ticket price.
Penniless!
Thanks Bob, nice timing. I'm sure you need the money.
Well Bob Kraft has found another way to alienate his true fans. More suits in the seats (of course until it gets too cold for them), nice ! Stadium will be real "loud" now.
I thought Bob Kraft was a fan as well. Unreal, we are heading towards a recession and they raise tickets prices by 51 percent in some cases. Well Bob Kraft at least you can start digging into that waitting list because many people will not renew this year and when your team becomes medicore, let's see how those new "loyal" fans reward you. Of course, it's all the same money to the Krafts, and lets' be honest here, ticket prices were raised for the 2005 season. It's a nice ploy to say "at the end of 2004" My tickets ahve almost doubled in three seasons. Bob Kraft "Man of the people " Hah ! Please I don't want to hear how the Krafts care about their fans anymore. That is so bogus.
I feel abused by the Krafts. Way to go Bob, you have completely screwed the true football fans around here. That stadium will sound like a Golf Match within three years.
Bob V. must be a Corp friend of the Krafts. Otherwise, how can anyone in their right mind defend this outrageous price increase especially in this economy. There is absolutely no excuse or justification...period.
The Red Sox aren't exactly immune to this either but at least you don't have to buy preseason tickets and they give ticket discounts to season ticket holders even if they win Championships. For example, a $50 Grandstand ticket is sold to season tickets holders at $45.
I wish I locked into the 10 year agreement for club seating, those tickets remain the same so the guy out in the elements, wearing the Pats Jersey and decorating his house and vehicle get to pay an inflated increase because Krafty Bob can not raise their ticket prices
I guess he didn't make enough off the scalping the superbowl tickets through his travel angency friends
I'm a season ticket holder who makes an avg. salary and while I'm not a fan of the ticket increase, I'm also not that upset. We don't have a PSL fee. Imagine paying 2007 prices on top of the upfront $32000 - $5000 PSL fee. Or even worse - carolina Panther season ticket holders pay $15K PSL fee on top of the $86 for corner endzone tickets ($117 at Gillette).
I actually wouldn't be opposed to a PSL because it allows you to do what ever you want with your tickets.
Also, enough with the preseason ticket outcry - it sucks but all teams make season ticket holders pay the full prices. We aren't the only ones.
Its official Bob Kraft is the GREEDIEST person in sports. Our $89 seats (2nd Level) are up to $117 that’s a whooping 31% increase. It’s a $28 increase which is exactly what our seats cost per game back in 1993 when we first bought tickets which were lower level 15 rows off the field. Our old seats that we had in 1993 ($28) would today cost $169 that’s a 603% increase over 18 years. It is OK for Kraft to extort the fans that he says he cares so about but God Forbid if the fan tries to resell their tickets and make a few bucks to finance their own season tickets. Kraft further dumps on fans by building a mall in front of the stadium forcing fans to walk further and causing parking rate increases at private lots because the fan has little choice. Giant season ticket holders pay only $15 game to park right in front of the stadium. Then he makes believe that there is a lottery drawing for super bowl tickets but we all know that they go to the Club Seat holders. Lets’ not even discuss the Pass It on Program, we would have been better off with Personal Seat Licensing – beware Giant and Jets fans your new stadium is coming; be carefeul what you wish for.
Kraft would rather have the common man give up his seats so that he can sell more tickets to his corporate sponsors because sponsorship creates more revenue.
Bob Kraft has done great thing with the Patriots and the organization – BUT FAN FRIENDLY - HE IS NOT!!!
Will they use some of their new found millions to ease traffic on Route 1?
$89 * 10 games, $890. $40 to park * 10 games, 400. $1290 for the season - is it worth it???
This ticket price increase makes me want to puke!!!
I say spend some money to go on the road and watch the PATS play. A fun trip, you see the PATS and most importantly, you take a stand and say enough is enough. Can you imagine what the prices will be in 5 years?
In 1992 my seats were $25 and I was one of 20,000 fans. By the snow game of 2002, they were $49{double in 10 years) Now, 6 years later they will be $169(more than tripling) and while I've been to many great games over the years, and even more stinkers, I will seriously think about staying with Bob's Pats...$50 to park makes for a $400+ sunday for 2 and that really seems like too much.
Why the big increase of 35% Bob?
Why take the joy out of sundays Bob?
Why make a married feel guilty for spending $4 grand for the season, Bob?
You need to start rethinking your plan and not "disremember" the past when the Pats were 2 and 14 nand people like me were happily supporting the Pats.
Are Revolution tickets going up in price too?
It's still a deal!! I wish I could find Patriots Tix for $169. Lower level sideline? Come on!! That's a deal!!! You could smell Brady's breath down there!! By the time I try to find any Pats tix, they are way out of line!
No more tix for me - I will listen on the radio in the fall as Im in the boat fishing in front of the Kraft compund on the Cape!!
I never thought I'd say this, but I am seriously considering giving up my season tickets.
As a 300 level patron, a seat has gone from 65 dollars in 2004 to 89 dollars. 650 a season to 890+ handling fee in that short amount of time. Part of that is 200 bucks a ticket for two pre-season games I never attend. It may be time to tell the Pats to take a hike, and use that 200 in "dead money" on Stub Hub, or an on-line broker, to attend one good game a year...and save hundreds. The price of sideline seats is even more ridiculous. With people struggling to hang on to their homes and an economy that is in recession, the Pats games are fast becoming a luxury many can no longer afford. I won't even mention Gillette's 9 dollar Margueritas. Given these new prices, the Pats should re-think their policy on re-sale, and allow season ticket holders to make a profit on some of their ducats to help pay the bloated cost of renewal. Too bad the average fan has to help pay for Patriot Place, instead of new Super Bowl rings. Coming off that loss to the Giants, and in this economy, they have some nerve to bring in these usurious price hikes. What a p-r disaster.
All you season ticket holders bitching, answer me this - would you have rather spend $5000 for a PSL? I personally wished we had PSL'd at Gillette so I could resell my tickets with out issue. BUT since we don't, I happy to pay $117 for a corner endzone
Hey Tom, why does there need to be a PSL mentioned at all ? The NFL gave Bob Kraft $200M to keep the team in NE. The new stadium was paid for after 2 years.
Did we even need a new stadium ? The Pats went to 3 Super Bowls under Foxboro Stadium and won our first under it. What did the new stadium solve ? There is still traffic and long lines for bathrooms and concessions and to enter and exit.
I had great seats in the old stadium. I was on the 35 yard line, in the bottom part of the second level, for $47. Now, I'm in the second level corner end zone for $117. So, I have much worse seats and standing room people yelling in my ear and breathing down my neck at a 250% increase.
Tell me, what did the new stadium do for me ? What did it do for the fans ? Nothing....that's what. If I had it my way I would bring it back in a heartbeat.
All this talk about moving the team to Hartford and trying to compete was bull shit. Kraft had no intention on moving to Hartford and there is a salary cap.
Building a new stadium was having one and only one thing in mind and that is to make more money and has nothing to do with caring about the fans or winning Championships.
Bob Kraft is the greediest owner in all of sports. I hope he and his Patriot Place falls now. I hope he gets booed everytime he walks on the field next year.
Hey Tom F, in retrospect the PSL would have been a far better deal then the current Pass it On Progarm where they are more than happy to take you for $5,000 per seat (that's $20,000 for 4 seats) to Pass your seats on to a family member before you kick the bucket. And then your son can pass it on to his son for another $20,000 (provided the program does not increase 30% every 4 years). Wow is that a deal or what??
All the wonderful details are spelled out in the brochure that comes with our annual season ticket renewals. Complete with how they will refund you if you decide to drop your account some day. However they will keep $500 per seat as an administration fee.
Tom, Bob Hilter would have still found a way to stop you from reselling even with a PSL??? Now he can make more money with the Pass It On Program. The only catch is that with this rate of increases there will not be many common people using the program, only the rich who will take the little guys place in the stands.
As a 16 year season ticket holder, It is still hard to believe the really ridiculous extent of the increases.
All you fans without tickets should get off your high horses and not be critical of upset season ticket holders. You only imagine the joys of going to a game but none of the irritations and there are many....traffic, parking, weather , bathroom lines, pricey food/drink and sometimes lousy games....
It is also frustrating that Superbowl tickets are not fairly distributed to the general population of Gillette.
I think Bob should offer season ticket holders an option on exhibition games and make the unwanted tickets available to people on the waiting list and the general public. I'm sure many fans would love this opportunity.
And Bob, try to imagine how life would be without Brady, Belichick and Pioli, because that day will come....and you'll be on you own!.
stop your bitchin... it's called capitalism. if you don't like it, don't renew - there are about 50 billion people waiting to get your ticket and will be happy to shell out the dough.
Dude - it's called greed. If it's capitalism then tell Krafty Bob to give back the NFL's $200M welfare check it gave him to keep the team in NE. Let him earn it on his own. No other team that is building a new stadium got that.
It's easy for someone who is on the outside to say don't renew. Do you follow what you preach when gas prices double ?
I doubt all these waiting list fans would be happy about paying these prices too. Then again, if they were real long time die hard fans like us they would already have season tickets by now wouldn't they ?
forcing us to pay full price for the exhibition crap is pretty much robbery
who wants to watch brady play for 10 minutes and then some scrub from bunker hill community college?
and of course we can't sell the tickets because then we'll lose our seats if the people get in a fight or break some precious rule
so there will be 4 seats empty for 2 games at $89 = $712 wasted dollars
i'd rather donate the $712 to the Jimmy Fund but that's not an option is it Kraft??
I've shopped once at Patriot Place because it's very conveinent for me... but I'll never do it again
Thanks Kraft
Please stop crying about the preseaon - all teams charge full price.
Kraft should be ASHAMED of himself!
This is disgusting Bobby! Your so call Patriot brand - can't get enough BAD Press for this one!
Fortunate for you though, you have the press/media on your side as well. Too bad Will McDonough wasn't still living - He would CRUSH you guys for this OUT of CONTROL tickets prices -
Has ANYONE here taken an economics class? There's a 50,000-person waiting list for season tickets. If you're too cheap to pay premium prices for a premium team that has won three Super Bowls this decade and been to the AFC title game five times in the past seven years, your loss, someone else will snap them up. I'm on the waiting list, I'll pay those prices and not even think twice about it.
Well, Robert, after 15 loyal years (and I WAS the 12th man) to your team that you duped the State of Connecticut into thinking you were bringing here where I live, I guess you have completely topped your penchant for ripping us off. Year after year the unheard of cost to simply park the car to attend a game has increased and you are the highest in the NFL because I checked with the other 31 teams. Then there was that Miami game late in the season when YOU couldn't manage to take care of clearing the snow out of the parking lot for YOUR loyal fans so after driving 2 hours and then sitting on Route 1 well INTO the 3rd quarter and less than 1/4 mile from the stadium the radio announcer said the parking lot was full and closed. The way you rewarded me for the $150 I had already paid you nine months before for the 2 seats was to tell me I could have that much credit in YOUR pro-shop but only if I spent $150 more to get it. You just can't make this stuff up. And then the law suit you had to bring against StubHub because people were actually making more on a ticket than YOU were. I am one of those people who sold my tickets there so the chance of renewing my tickets this year has been taken away. But with a 35% increase it would have been impossible to renew and I see that you feel only YOU can gouge the fan for a higher priced ticket. Well, the absolute beauty of all of this is that I am and have always been a New York Giant fan, first and foremost. I followed Bill Parcells here in 1993 KNOWING what he could do for this team and I was right, of course! They have been "on the map" ever since. Since it has been impossible to get season tix for NY for many years, I opted for the Pats and back then, they were plentiful. I have very much enjoyed the 15 years and cheering for New England when they didn't directly oppose my Giants. But now I have come full circle; you are taking away my seats to sell to some poor waiting list sucker but MY team took away your perfect season in the best Super Bowl ever played!!! GO BIG BLUE. And speaking of blue, the lucky blue shirt you wear with the white collor went out of fashion with spats so give it up. Guess it isn't lucky anymore, anyway!!
