Free agency: Day 4

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff March 3, 2008 08:55 AM

  • 1) Randy Moss watch continues. With WR Randy Moss remaining on the market, will this be the day for a breakthrough? The New York Times notes today that the big question in NFL free agency is "Where's Randy?"

  • 2) Jabar Gaffney also an important piece. The Patriots and representatives for WR Jabar Gaffney continue to have dialogue regarding a new deal. While Moss's situation draws the majority of interest, Gaffney has not been forgotten. By the end of the 2007 season, he had overtaken Donte' Stallworth as the team's No. 3 receiver.

  • 3) Free-agent visit on the radar. Cornerback Jason Webster is scheduled to fly into town today/tonight and is expected to visit with Patriots officials through Tuesday, according to his agent, Vann McElroy.
