Leyland on Belichick

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff March 5, 2008 01:26 PM

One of our brother blogs here at Boston.com, Extra Bases, passes along comments from baseball manager Jim Leyland regarding Bill Belichick.

Writer Nick Cafardo was on the scene when Leyland touched on the Patriots coach.

"It would be an honor to meet him," Leyland said after joking that Belichick should come visit him. "He has to be special to do what he's done. I like the way he runs things. I don't think you ever hear it's the Belichick way. It's not his way, it's the right way. That's what I've tried to do bring here. I think that's the way Belichick does it."

  1. Wait a minute. I thought no one liked "Mr. Sunshine" that he was arrogant and possess no social skills. Please forward Jim Leyland's comments to Mr. Most.

  1. Great to hear !

Don't you also notice that Urban Meyer invites Belichick to speak to his football team all the time ?

Same goes for Billy Donovan, the coach of UF's b-ball team ?

Cause the master knows what he is going, thats why
