Patriots to host McFadden
PALM BEACH, Fla., -- While coaches and personnel executives take a mini-break from draft preparations at the NFL's annual meeting, that hasn't stopped the draft from being a topic of discussion at The Breakers. Along those lines, the Patriots are scheduled to host Arkansas running back Darren McFadden on a pre-draft visit April 10-11 at Gillette Stadium.
A bit more on McFadden's scheduled visit can be found in Monday's editions of the Boston Globe.
"Any team that drafts him knows it is getting a special player,” said McFadden’s agent, Ian Greengross. "There is no question in my mind that Darren is the best player in the draft.”
The New York Daily News wrote an extensive piece on McFadden in their Sunday editions.
NFL teams are allowed up to 30 in-house visits before the draft. Among those players scheduled to visit the Patriots are McFadden, USC linebacker Keith Rivers, USC cornerback Terrell Thomas, Iowa defensive back Charles Godfrey, Virginia Tech cornerback Brandon Flowers and Georgia Tech defensive end/outside linebacker Darrell Robertson.
