Reports: Moss spoke with Eagles

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff March 3, 2008 08:27 PM

The Philadelphia Daily News reports today that receiver Randy Moss spoke extensively with Eagles head coach Andy Reid about the possibility of signing with Philadelphia.

Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Inquirer notes that the Eagles offered more than the three-year, $27 million contract that Moss signed with the Patriots, and "felt as if they were close to striking a deal with the star receiver before the news about the Patriots broke early this afternoon."

  1. This is not good. Specter might take this to congress.

  1. Hey Specter! Investigate this! Pats win out over Eagles again! Maybe the Pats taped the negotiations with the Eagles and were able to get a leg up!

  1. Maybe Specter will investigate the Eagles for cheating by tampering with players before the beginning of free agency despite a recent memo from the NFL warning teams not to do it.
