Rivers set for pre-draft visit
The Patriots are scheduled to host Southern California linebacker Keith Rivers on a pre-draft visit at Gillette Stadium. Rivers, who is expected to be picked in the first round, is set to come to town in the second week of April.
At 6-foot-2, 241 pounds, Rivers projects to inside linebacker in the Patriots' 3-4 defense, a position that has been a challenge to fill with young talent.
Rivers played four seasons at USC, the last three as a starter. He finished his career with 240 career tackles, playing mostly at outside linebacker in a 4-3 set.
Linebacker is one of the Patriots' top need areas, with two of their top five players from 2007 -- Rosevelt Colvin and Junior Seau -- currently free agents.
NFL teams are allowed up to 30 in-house visits with prospects. The visits do not include workouts, so they are essentially final interviews and medical checks.
The Patriots are also scheduled to host Virginia Tech CB Brandon Flowers, Iowa DB Charles Godfrey, USC CB Terrell Thomas and Georgia Tech DE/LB Darrell Robertson.

I do believe that University of Arizona CB Antoine Cason has had a private workout with the Patriots and will visit the team in April.
Mike, could you comment on off season conditioning? Supposedly, all players were in attendance & the Hera(g)ld is reporting that Brady was spotted this week in Italy shopping with Gisele?

haven't heard that. source?
Theres an interesting piece on ESPN which looks at pass protection, which says that although Brady only got sacked 23 times, he was 'hit' 45 times, making him the third most hit/sacked QB
maybe we should look at the O line, too, as well as the D
(or maybe better play calling)
mike,
Is their anything on working out dominque-rodgers cromartie?
i really hope the patriots can grab gholston or trade for two, how late is keith rivers dropping to could they grab him at 20? if they can get both cowboys picks and grab keith rivers and someone like rodgers-cromartie or talib it would be a real steal.
They should look at Josh Ferguson (MLB) from Purdue.
