Troy gets roasted

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff March 7, 2008 11:10 AM

Longtime Patriots receiver Troy Brown was "roasted" last night at his alma mater, Marshall University. The Herald-Dispatch has a report from the evening, noting that Patriots coach Bill Belichick, former Patriots coach Bill Parcells and Patriots owner Robert Kraft shared their thoughts as part of the roast.

Former Patriots long snapper Mike Bartrum, one of Brown's closest friends, said: "I'm going to have a problem. I don't know anything but good things, and here we are trying to roast this guy. This is my first roast and I might be the lame duck here. They might be laughing at me."

  1. I really hope Troy Brown re-signs with this team ..

and gets in the line-up to catch just one more touchdown ... he dereves that ..

He has stuck with the Patriots for his entire career and is a true patriot ... he worked his tail off last year and did not get to catch a ball

One more year Troy ... at the rate we are going ... we might need you to start at DB
