Colts considering Colvin
The Indianapolis Star reports today that the Colts are considering the possibility of signing free-agent defensive end/linebacker Rosevelt Colvin.
"It's an interesting name because he's local,'' Colts president Bill Polian told the Star. "I don't know. That's a secondary issue. Once we get through the draft, then we'll take a look at that.''

Why don't the patriots just sign him to a low-risk, incentive-laden one year deal?
"Why don't the patriots just sign him to a low-risk, incentive-laden one year deal?"
Cause he tore his achilles tendon and is all done as far as being useful on the football field. Too injury prone and was over paid for the years he was here based on his production. Not worth wasting the time/money or roster spot.
From the time they released him I was really mad about the whole thing.
I would hate to see Roosie in Colts uniform.

Why would Rosie sign that kind of deal? He's better than that. Besides, whoever g ets him enjoy seeing him play well for 4-8 games per year.
This would be similar to his hip in that it would take at least a full year to a year and a half to fully recover. That would put him on target to start in 2009 and he turns 33 in September of that year. Absolutely terrible for him and the Patriots organization as he looked like he was coming back into great form and REALLY would have been great for us down the stretch but this marriage is over.
