  1. Im quite excited by this...hes apparently a 'tweener' but that means flexibility for BB ..might turn into a steal...

  1. missing out on Dan Connor for Crable seems questionable... Connor seems like a born leader who could fill Tedy or Mike's roles in the future and an extra year with them would be invaluable. doesnt Crable have motivational issues??

  1. Seems like a bit of a reach as most boards had him as a 4th to 5th rounder…He’s a big body but doesn’t seem to have the speed to be an every down LB in Patriots 3-4…Mental errors are also a problem like his cheap hit on Troy Smith..

  1. Here is a terrific analysis of Crable. I really like the focus on getting young at linebacker. He seems like a solid player who could be a great player. Let's see what Bill can do with him. Add in the second round pick next year, this is a great start to the day for Pats fans.

  1. So far, all I've learned of Crable is his tendency for taking dumb penalties.

  1. OK, like I said yesterday, "D-" for the Pats in the draft (so far). I mean, this is the strongest draft in years and all we have is Mayo, Wheatey (4 wrist surgeries???) and Crable? Oh yeah, 34.5 inch arms? Well, unless they're talking about the circumference of his biceps, this won't help (uh, mine are 36" long - really - check my shirt size!). At least the S.D. 2nd round pick in 2009 will help as part of a package for USC's Malaluga.
